The Twin-City Thunder is a Minor-professional football team located in the Bristol Tn/Va Region. This organization was established to give men ages 18 & up the second chance to play the game they love so much. These young men do not get paid, they simply do it for "the love of the game". It is primarily for high school students who have graduated and/or college students who have exhausted their eligibility to play.
We will be accepting players from the Bristol Tn/Va , Abingdon Va Regions.
We will be playing in the Imperial Football League (IFL) which has teams in
North Carolina, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia as well. The Thunder will specialize in the “overlooked” athletes with diverse backgrounds and skills that have not the opportunity to compete on the football field since high school and/or College. Some peer athletes had opportunities but did not succeed. The overlooked athletes get a fresh start to better themselves for the exposure to the emerging talent pool of players competing in life. They will mentor each other as well as be in a small group matched with a more senior person. The twin City Thunder mentoring as a team is effective since they are based on the concept of mutual benefit; participants
receive support and advice as they provide support and advice for others. The Thunders goal is to make a different in individual lives that come
in contact with our program through:
-Greater Knowledge in Career and Jobs development
-Education Growth and Benefits
-Exposure to other Football organization (Colleges, Arena, NFL other
Everything we do in our football program is to prepare our players for the next level. Our program provides the support and teaches skills to each player so that he can compete successfully Commerce. Our program philosophy is to prepare and give our players possible exposure to professional and arena league scouts. and have an opportunity at that next level.
All Home Games will be Played at Gene Malcolm Stadium Located at 1521 Euclid Ave Bristol, VA 24201
